"The voices form a seductive combination"

The Sunday Times

“Something wonderful...” BBC Radio Scotland

Hannah Elizabeth (vocals/violin) and Griff Jameson (vocals/guitar) first met whilst touring and performing in other acts on the UK acoustic folk-roots scene, eventually partnering to release material for the first time as a duo in 2016. Merging their individual backgrounds of traditional folk and folk pop/rock, they have created a stunning acoustic folk-roots duo, with original songs rich in emotive storytelling and a harmony-driven sound featuring guitar, violin and exquisite vocals.

Their concrete musical partnership as a duo was closely followed by the release of their debut album Northern Shores & Stories in 2020 - as well as their marriage later that same year.

Elizabeth & Jameson have since become mainstays of the UK acoustic folk-roots scene. In addition to their own extensive tour dates, the duo have opened for the likes of Turin Brakes, Scott Matthews and Jools Holland, and have performed at some of the UK’s biggest acoustic and folk clubs and festivals.

Recent festival highlights include Cambridge Folk Festival, The Great British Folk Festival, The British Country Music Festival and Camp Bestival.

Daria Kulesh has been described by Mike Harding as “one of the finest voices and one of the most intriguing and interesting songwriters on the present folk scene”.

Her debut release Eternal Child was described as “phenomenal”, her second album Long Lost Home has enjoyed rave reviews and multiple awards, including LCM Album of the Year, her third offering Earthly Delights was named “one of the year’s finest albums” by Folk Radio UK, and her latest studio release MotherLand is “near perfect” and “astonishing”, according to Liverpool Sound and Vision.

Daria has toured extensively in the UK and Europe, sharing stories and songs that are deeply personal but feel universal and timeless. Every performance is an “emotional, compelling and uplifting experience”, leaving the audiences “completely spellbound”.

Born in Russia but based in the UK for the last 15 years, she fearlessly explores her heritage and turbulent family history in Ingushetia (North Caucasus) with songs that “aren’t just sung, but lived” (FATEA).

Linda Moylan

Music notes Aqua blue_edited.png

Linda Moylan is a London based, Irish born singer songwriter.

Originally hailing from Waterford, Ireland, Linda’s family immigrated in to London’s East End in the 1980s. A natural singer, songwriter and storyteller, her lyrical narrative is comparable to that of authors, poets and playwrights with a strong visual essence, stimulating the listener’s own imagination. Her music explores a wide array of themes from forgotten fateful stories and uncelebrated heroines of the past to her own personal and family experiences.

Linda first started singing blues and rock ’n’ roll in pubs and clubs in her early twenties before meeting Chris Wyatt, with whom she wrote and recorded her first album ‘Shadow Lands’ in 2015. Her sound has grown to adopt strong elements of Americana and folk noir with an ominous and atmospheric Celtic undercurrent to it and splashes of gospel and soul.

Linda draws an ethereal energy flow from her inspirations, citing numerous artists as influences, including Leonard Cohen, Edith Piaf, Nina Simone, Portishead, Hank Williams, Ennio Morricone and the poetry of Ted Hughes.

Linda Moylan produces music in an extraordinary mix of influences and genres, blending folk (revisited from a current London / Irish cultural perspective), a bit of rock, Celtic melody and American blues.

Her music is timeless, filtering new compositions through the prism of her musical heritage to produce an overall modern day eclectic feel.

After challenging themselves to write a new song for the first 12 weeks of the livestream, they successfully managed to produce a second album.‘ Journey Through the Roke’ was released on 23rd April 2021. The album features many talented musicians including Toby Shaer (whistles, harmonium, flute, fiddle, bass), Evan Carson(drums, bodhran, percussion), Archie Churchill Moss of Moore Moss Rutter (melodeon) and Graham Coe of The Jellyman’s Daughter (cello).'Journey Through the Roke' has received airplay on the BBC Radio 2 Folk Show. Born and raised in Suffolk, Lucy learned violin and drums at school, sung in the Suffolk Jubilee choir and started songwriting at age 15. She taught herself guitar whilst at university in Canterbury, and began performing her creations not long afterwards. Jon, a Yorkshire boy, raised in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk, has been performing his own songs since his teens. StEm

Stem are a duo, formed at the beginning of lockdown, by Emma Baldwin and Steve Hollister. The band name St of Steve and Em of Emma, also relates to musical stems on notes, and means voice in South African. In addition to this, Stem is also a group of similar sound sources when mixing; so many meanings for one band name.

The duo met when Steve was Emma’s postman and asked her to join his function band, DisCover, who he drums for, as their lead singer. Over time, they decided they wanted to learn guitar, and so have done together and have enjoyed writing multiple songs, which have had some amateur success, much to their surprise and joy.

Emma has previously written and sung in other original musical acts, of both folk and rock genres, but never before has managed to be involved in the musical process. Emma describes song writing as her therapy, her way to clear her mind and air her thoughts.

Steve is new to songwriting, but is a natural, developing finger picking styles and chord progressions as though he’s been doing it his whole life.

Painted Sky

‘Terribly splendid’ - RnR Magazine

‘International folk sound, lovely harmonies … really like that!’ BBC Radio York

Painted Sky have only recently emerged onto the UK folk scene, but they have already made a lasting impression with their progressive acoustic sound.

Siblings George Brandon (guitar/vocal) and Holly Brandon (fiddle/vocal) have been making music together for as long as they can remember. Both have worked on independent projects, with George performing solo and Holly, perhaps best known as part of transatlantic folk band, The Magpies. But the siblings have always been drawn back to each other’s playing and tight-knit instrumentals and harmonies reflect the bedrock of their lifelong musical history.

Original material thoughtfully balances the duo’s roots in traditional English music. Their songs are characterised by honest vocals and timeless storytelling, underpinned by driving rhythms. Whilst their exquisite instrumentals weave delicate finger-picking guitar and soaring fiddle with a dynamic energy.

After making waves with their EP - Dawn - in 2020, Painted Sky are set to release their debut album From The Blue in May 2024. Produced by award-winning singer-songwriter, Blair Dunlop, the record stands as a testimony to the siblings’ 20 years of music making. It feeds on a rich pool of English songwriting, traditional songs and ideas to deliver an album with a refreshing mindset, where waves of contemporary textures and arrangements make it feel like an album truly from the blue.

Seb Longhorn

2024-09-28 - Seb Launch Photos-5 (4).jpg
Music notes Aqua blue_edited.png

Seb is a singer-songwriter from Weston-super-Mare — a seaside town full of hyphens, sand, and a heroic amount of mud. His songs tend to circle the things closest to him: family, friends, love, art, water… and occasionally the act of writing itself, especially when inspiration is having a day off (see: “The Half a Song Blues”).

His debut EP, The Living Room Sessions, lays all of this out with complete honesty. It features seven new(ish) acoustic tracks recorded solo in single takes — proper old-school, inspired by the spirit of Paul Simon, Cat Stevens and Neil Young. Seb wanted to present both the songs and himself exactly as they are, imperfections and all, in the hope that listeners might find something real and relatable in the cracks.

This year has been a busy one: he supported Gary Stringer from Reef, performed at Glastonbury Festival in The Avalon Inn and backstage at Woodsies, played a lively set at The Fleece in Bristol with his band, and kept summer crowds smiling at Weston’s outdoor market in the Italian Gardens.

Whether it’s folk, rock, blues, or something comfortably drifting in between, Seb’s dream is simply to share his little musical corner of the world with as many people as possible

We Mavericks

We Mavericks IMAGE 2.jpg
Music notes Aqua blue_edited.png

“… the glorious harmonies and touching melodies of We Mavericks…Together they craft exquisite folk music, evoking spirits originating from Appalachia to Alba” Ambient Light, NZ

Musical twins and mavericks besides, they pack emotional punches but bring songs to heal the scars.

Real-life troubadours and masters in the art of connection; they interweave soulful vocals, effortless strings and driving rhythms to form a singular musical voice. Their sound is equal parts contemp-folk, alt-country and acoustic-pop, but no words capture their unbelievable musical kinship, or the deeply heartfelt way they relate to their audiences.

“He has a familiar soft folk tenor. She has a strong ringing tone with muscle behind a clear crystalline voice… The violin cries for her and the harmony vocals are divine… We Mavericks are a serendipitous pairing…”  - 13th Floor, NZ

We Mavericks have been on a steep rise to countless festival billings and shows at home and abroad, twice nominated “Te Kaipuoro Taketake Toa | Best Folk Artist” in the Aotearoa (New Zealand) Music Awards, twice nominated “Best Contemporary Duo/Group/Ensemble” in the Australian Folk Music Awards, selection as Spotlight Showcase Artists at Folk Alliance International and are recipients of Australia’s Troubadour Foundation Award.

Although the duo describe themselves as a folk act, the singles from brand new album “Heart of Silver” have been picked up by the country music scene in Australia- "All This Noise" featured on Country Music TV, "Hold Me" featured on ABC Country's GRASSROOTS and title track “Heart of Silver” enjoyed the spotlight on ABC’s premier country program, Saturday Night Country with Beccy Cole. They are currently touring across the UK, Europe and Australia to wide acclaim.

“...an undoubted masterclass in music delivery and songwriting from two classy musicians coming together in perfect harmony.” Fatea Magazine

Victoria Vigenser was born in Auckland NZ and raised on the water, Victoria started with a childhood affinity for opera, but found rural folk festivals in her teens and never looked back. Celebrated for a seemingly effortless lyrical dexterity and foot-stomping sense of rhythm, she performs with a conviction that tugs at heartstrings. Though a 21st-century wordsmith. she has a deep love for traditional song from many cultures, rooted in her childhood kapahaka (Maori) and later introduction to Celtic traditional song. It wasn’t until her collaboration with Lindsay that she threw off the cables and dirt of her beloved backstage world and truly stepped up to the mic. Having relocated to Australia to follow her muse, she’s now most often spotted wandering around with a fishing rod in the NSW sun, singing strange things, without any shoes on.

Lindsay Martin hails from the Riverina of NSW, Lindsay Martin is best known for his particularly sensitive and unique violin accompaniment and work as a recording engineer/producer. Though classically trained from the age of seven, he has developed an uncanny ability to make his instruments sing in any genre. As an acclaimed career musician since his teens, he has many strings to his bow and many projects to his name: He’s also a multi-instrumentalist, former closet vocalist, trout hunter, unintentional hair model and medieval archer. Though recognised widely as an excellent instrumentalist, his songwriting/arrangement and vocal ability never had an outlet until We Mavericks was born. When he’s not playing, you’re most likely to find him at home making bread, mixing tracks or concocting something delicious over a fire.
